Following my recent review of Gri-Gri, this time it's all about Hasard. Hasard is the other eyeshadow single released as part of Chanel's Superstition Collection for Fall 2013. It's a beautiful matte lavender shade that I knew I had to have the second I read the press release. I have been looking for a matte colour like this for ages!
Hasard comes in typical Chanel packaging, black plastic with the white double C's on top. The compact is small, easy to take with you for touch-ups and has a very decent sized mirror inside the entire top lid.
The eyeshadow is a gorgeous muted lavender and it is completely matte. It doesn't give intense pigmentation in one go, but it's build able if so wanted. Though it's never going to be an intense purple. Still, this makes it a perfect crease colour and one that I can already tell my "collection" was in need of. It goes beautifully with my colder shadows that I use all over the lid and especially well with it's newly released companion; Gri-Gri.
Hasard is incredibly easy to use, especially as the pigment isn't too heavy with just a small swipe. It's a good choice for everyone that likes a more natural eye look. There's not an intense color payoff, but it gives perfect definition to the crease. It blends beautifully and doesn't provide any "pigment clusters" like a lot of mattes can do.

It's already become one of my favourite eyeshadows to use and I've been using it pretty much every day since getting it. It's beautiful, fool-proof, natural yet one-of-a-kind. The quality of this is top-notch and if you think you could use a matte lavender in your collection I strongly suggest this one, and hurry as it's limited edition!
